Gorilla Training Concepts uses the functional approach to fitness. Function training is a term becoming more and more familiar in the fitness world as we learn that traditional training styles and ideas are not always the best approach for optimal results.
Loosely defined, functional training is designed to make you better at everything you do. This differs from traditional training in that traditional training many times only makes you good and traditional training. For example; doing a biceps curl makes you good at what??? Doing a biceps curl. While it may make you a little stronger at lifting your fork to your mouth and make the muscle a little bit prettier, it has very little use to you in the real world.
In our training we seek to make you fit for the world and able to do whatever your life may throw at you. This will undoubtedly make you a more healthy and fit individual. We train individuals from police/fire, to stay at home moms, to athletes, to mixed martial arts fighters. Our programs are universal so that only the scale and intensity of the workouts vary by individual.
We use many tools and many protocols to make all of this come together. The group atmosphere is fun, challenging and rewarding.
